Art Monster: A Countdown To Halloween (DAY 24)

Arthur Adams has been drawing comics for over 30 years.  For every one of those years, I've wanted to find a new comic on the shelves of his each month!

But Art is one of those guys who is more an illustrator than storyteller--his instinct for fine detail and the perfect pose outweigh his ability to simply get the work done and move on to the next page, so the idea of a monthly book is out the window.

We have to savor his stuff, for it is in short supply.

Ladies and gentlemen, the frighteningly fine lines of Arthur Adams and his crosshatched creatures--just click on any piece of art for a closer look at the amazing detail therein:

THIS HERE'S AN ASSORTMENT OF MARVEL MONSTERS FROM THE 50s UNTIL THE NOW.

Due to the fact that he's huge and pretty much a walking swamp salad, Marvel Comics' Man-Thing is my favorite character to see drawn by Mr. Adams... you can just smell the fetid, muddy water and the stench of the swamp!
