More DOODLING DIGITALLY with MURO
Over at Deviant Art, the place I do the vast majority of my art posting, they have a drawing tool to toy with called "Muro" which is a kind of simple digital drawing/painting tool that is free to use live on the site. It's fun to toy with as I'm still a digital newbie and all of the complicated tricks one can throw on a piece of art are still pretty much beyond me. Below are a few examples of me at play there:

THE RETURN OF THE REVENGE OF THE ATTACK OF THE THOR MOVIE POSTERS
Here we see the character posters that were released for the THOR film and they bring into focus the characters who will be the center of the movie. Puzzling, though, that Sif is named "Goddess of War" not really her traditional label at all. Granted, in the comics, she's a great warrior, but still...

ATTACK OF THE MOVIE POSTERS
I like this top image best--classic Thor pose (although no helmet included). I'd prefer more of focus on the father sons theme instead of the inclusion of Jane Foster (though I understand you want folks to know Natalie Portman is in the film) and Heimdall (not sure why he's there, unless he plays a bigger role in the film than he usually does in the comics).

THE ORIGINAL BOMBSHELL ON TCM TONIGHT
March 3, 2011 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jean Harlow, a remarkable comic actress. Tonight on Turner Classic Movies there will be a mini-marathon of her films. I recommend them all. So tune in and don't forget to enjoy the talents of James Cagney, Spencer Tracy, William Powell and Robert Taylor.
8PM--THE PUBLIC ENEMY
9:30PM--BOMBSHELL
11:15PM--LIBELED LADY
1AM--RECKLESS
2:45AM--PERSONAL PROPERTY

THOR ONE SHEET MOVIE POSTER
There were many rumors that the movie folks went with the EARTH X mythology that Thor was an alien instead of a god, but the one sheet poster promoting the film appears to be firmly in the camp of godhood. And I am quite pleased--Odin remains unmoved. I guess he's waiting and seeing before laying down final judgement.

HERE'S... THE RED SKULL
Now that's more like it! This is about as good as anyone could hope for as a likeness to heir Skull. In fact, the mouth area is almost straight from a Jack Kirby drawing of the ruby red Nazi.
You'll notice that the Red Skull's uniform is less like the traditional jump suit that usually appeared as green in the comics from the early days.
At some point artists began putting Captain America's nemesis into something akin to the traditional Nazi uniform and this is what the movie folks seem to be going for...
