Madman, AKA Frank Einstein, is a comic book character created by Mike Allred
and first appeared in CREATURES OF THE ID (October 1990).
His name is reference to our dear FRANKENSTEIN!

The thing that qualifies Madman for this list, in my mind, is that he was reborn from the dead with no memory of his original life. A blank slate who had to rediscover the wacky world of his with the eyes of a child. The crack in the forehead of his mask seems a call-back to Universal’s Frankenstein Monster. That and the fact that he has blue skin, a metal scalp plate and scars similar to the Monster.
Since his resurrection, Frank’s abilities have seemingly grown. He possesses a talent for learning that allows him to pick up any skill and gain knowledge at a superhuman rate. He is superhumanly agile and has uneartly reflexes. His nervous system and connective tissues work far more efficiently than do normal humans.

Frank also has shown a few different psionic abilities, including the power to gain knowledge of a person by simply touching them. Empathy and clairvoyance, also. He has also been able to see the future, sometimes vaguely, sometimes crystal clear. He does not have a mastery over these abilities, however.

Frank Einstein was born Zane Townsend, an agent of the Tri-Eye Agency.
Townsend was killed in a car accident and stitched back together
and brought back to life by two scientists,
Dr. Egon Boiffard and Dr. Gillespie Flem.
This amnesiac John Doe was given the name Frank Einstein
as a tribute to Dr. Boiffard’s artistic and scientific heroes,
Frank Sinatra and Albert Einstein.
He only has troubling slivers of memory about his death.
The costume he wears is based on a memory
of a comic book character he clearly was a fan of
called Mr. Excitement.

Einstein has had many wandering, wacky adventures that always seem to be so off-beat as to be beyond the normal shape of reality. Madman seems to excell in these extreme situations and usually finds a way to win the day, save the girl and take a step or two closer to discovering his true nature.
