Countdown to Halloween Day 15: WHITE HOUSE HALLOWEEN




I believe last year was the first year since the Carter administration that the White House participated in the handing out of treats and the playing of tricks to local Washington, D.C. children. No political feelings here, but it does feel good to see the White House lit up orange like I do my own house on All Hallow's Eve! Figured I'd take a look back at some of the festivities and take a tiny peek at the past of the hallowed holiday among the politically powerful:

Nice! I didn't realize that Halloween had been verboten at the White House since Reagan. Makes sense, mind you, but it's still good to see Obama bring it back.

It's the trick or treating mainly. But boy was it hard to find anything about Halloween and the White House--other than that site.
